Are you an artist aged 18-30 looking for experience of working with children and young people? 

The Geraldine Connor Foundation is looking to recruit five Assistant Artists to support the delivery of our innovative summer project, Global Collective.

This position is ideally suited to someone who is skilled and passionate about any artform, including but not limited to: music, dance, drama, spoken word, music and visual production and media arts, with an enthusiasm for working with children and young people.

Through supporting and working alongside established artists to deliver Global Collective, the Assistant Artists will accumulate knowledge and develop skills to be able to continue to work with children, young people and other artists.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Aged between 18-30 years
  • Live in Leeds

Dates of training and employment:

  • 2 training days in April 2020 – TBC
  • Observing artistic education and community practice in May/June – TBC
  • Delivering school assemblies to promote Global Collective in May/June – TBC
  • Global Collective – Monday 27th July – Friday 7th August, 8am – 4pm daily (excluding the weekend)
