MUSIC ARTIST, SONGWRITER AND PRODUCER

Twitter: @DENMARCCREARY

  1. When did you first start/start wanting to write and produce music?

In high school, I had a friend that introduced me to some production software. Writing came later on (in college) when I couldn’t find any artists locally to collab with.

  1. What are you currently doing?

I’m writing and producing music full-time; releasing songs and other content consistently, doing bits of writing for a few local artists/producers and have a site where I sell beats online (AWCCBEATS).

  1. How did you get involved with GCF?

I had the pleasure of being a part of Carnival Messiah and worked with Geraldine, and then I found out about GCF shortly after she passed after going to watch a show with a few of the Carnival Messiah alumni.

  1. Which GCF projects have you been involved with?

To be honest, I don’t have a clue! I’ve done so much with people involved and associated with GCF I wouldn’t be able to remember them all.

  1. What is your artistic ambition/plans for the future?

My plans are to keep the progress going, keep building on the support and stay consistent with releases and eventually focus on songwriting placements.

  1. What barriers do you feel you need to overcome to become an artist?

Well I might see things slightly different, I don’t feel like there are barriers to becoming an artist… I feel like an artist is an artist, the perceived barriers come when you’re trying to break through the noise… But as an artist, a way will be found.

  1. What is your plan to overcome these barriers?

Consistency and content creation are a huge part of my plans. Some of my goals have already been exceeded, so staying focused, staying consistent and sticking to the plan are all ingredients that are going to contribute to the noise I make this year.
